How to Download, Run, and Play the Game

Important Things to Know Before You Start

• This game only runs on PC (Windows). It will not work on Mac, Linux, or mobile devices.
• You need a mouse to play the game. A trackpad is not recommended.
• Make sure the game is fully downloaded before trying to extract or play it. Some issues happen because the download isn’t complete.

2. Downloading the Game from itch.io

1. Go to the game’s itch.io page.
2. Click "Download." Since the game is free, the download will start immediately.
3. Wait until the download is fully complete before doing anything else.

3. Extracting the Game Files

1. Locate the .zip file after it finishes downloading.
2. Right-click it and choose "Extract All..." 
3. Choose where to extract the files (Desktop or a folder of your choice).
4. Click "Extract" and wait for it to finish.

4. Running the Game

1. Open the extracted game folder.
2. Find the house_puzzle.exe file.
3. Double-click the .exe file to start the game.

5. If Windows Defender Blocks the Game

• You may see a message saying "Windows protected your PC."
• Click "More info", then "Run anyway."
• This happens because the game isn’t signed, but if you downloaded it from itch.io, it’s safe.

6. Game Controls

• WASD – Move around
• Mouse – Look around (a mouse is required)
• E – Interact with objects
• ESC – Open the menu

Viktige ting å vite før du starter

Slik laster du ned og kjører spillet

1. Gå til spillets itch.io-side.
2. Klikk "Download." Nedlastingen starter automatisk.
3. Vent til nedlastingen er helt ferdig.

Utpakking av spillet

1. Finn den nedlastede .zip-filen.
2. Høyreklikk og velg "Pakk ut alle..."
3. Velg en plassering og klikk "Pakk ut."

Spille spillet

1. Åpne den utpakkede mappen.
2. Finn house_puzzle.exe-filen 
3. Dobbeltklikk .exe-filen for å starte spillet.

Dersom Windows Defender blokkerer spillet

• Klikk "More info" → "Run anyway."
• Dette skjer fordi spillet ikke er signert, men hvis du lastet det ned fra itch.io, er det trygt.
